Interlocking
Falling Child
The Interlocking series pre-dates T M McGrath’s move to a studio location, and are probably more concentrated art forms than those created in the freedom of the studio, where paint on the carpet isn’t a big thing!
In this series the artist is a more thoughtful mood, as he moves on from the representational style of his earlier watercolours. The concentration on the interlocking nature of the colours and blocks that typify his work, weaves magical patterns that draw the viewer further and further into the streets and allies of the city, or into the descent of a child through outreached arms. Each new visit to these works reveals something more to the eye.
