In naming this selection as the Abstract Block and Form Series we run the risk of being called out by the purists of the art world. However, the series title is intended to convey is T M McGrath’s ability to move through many different mediums and styles of painting – making it difficult to classify them as representational.
Another Place
Looking for the interface between abstraction and realism, is Tom’s goal.
As an artist he always reverts to his obsession with presenting the key elements of the industrial landscape, mills, factories, canals, rooftops and gable ends!
In this series we hope to show an eclectic mix, but one which always involve the use of stripes, colour blocks and interlocking panoramas , the hallmark of this artist’s work
