Over the last two months we’ve been settling into the new studio at Houldsworth Mill. Although not as redolent in history as the Crusader Mill, the added space combined with the eccentric nature of the other businesses around us, (a magician in a magic shop being perhaps the most unexpected), makes this mill a happy berth for Artmeltd.
With ample storage and display areas, we can at last see the range and power of the T. M. McGrath collection currently showcased in the gallery. Our original collection has now been increased by further six exciting, new paintings, so please check out the gallery!
The highlight of this week however, has been our official opening by Leo and Marnie Gent, who had a ‘paint in’ and who were accompanied by a VIP guest on a rare public outing. ‘Lola the Leopard’, who usually resides in the Nursery at Beaver Road School, was a guest in the Gent household for the weekend and graciously consented to our using an image of her at the studio to promote the artmeltd web site.
After a toast of Ribena, the studio at Houldsworth Mill is officially up and running.
